Submit a project
Updated May 29, 2026
Submitting a project on Story Inc. is quick, creative, and designed to help your film shine. Your project represents the film or series you want to share with audiences — it's the foundation for all your Market Questions, clips, and updates. Let's get started.
Step 1: Get set up
Make sure you're set up with your Story Inc. account and a Filmmaker Profile before submitting a project. If you have questions, check out Getting started for filmmakers.
Step 2: Complete the project form
When you submit a project, our team reviews it to make sure it's a great fit for the platform — and your submission becomes your dedicated project page, where fans can discover your film, follow its progress, and engage with your markets.
Come prepared with your strongest materials and clearest creative vision to ensure your project shines! Ready?
Select Create Project from the dropdown menu or under Manage Projects.
Note: Some information will be public on your project page; other details are private and shared only with the Story Inc. team — we'll specify in the form. What we ask:
- Overview — title and description
- Feature/Series & Genre
- Purpose & Audience — why does this need to be made, who's it for?
- Status & Ownership — development stage, IP status
- Team & Talent
- Budget & Video Pitch — estimated cost, sizzle/teaser show us what you've got!
- What You're Looking For — how can we help (e.g. find fans, audience feedback)
- Rewards — Story Inc. offers fans rewards like movie tickets and streaming concessions, but we also expect our filmmakers to offer access/rewards only they can offer (e.g. name in credits, set visit, signed script). This is a great way to personalize how you engage with your fans.
Tip: Your project can be updated anytime. Start with what you have now and refine as you go. Go to Manage Projects in the drop down menu for any updates.
Step 3: Review and approval
Once submitted, we review your project to ensure it aligns with our mission and creative standards — and to make sure you're set up for success when engaging with fans. You'll be notified by email once your project is approved and ready to go live.
Step 4: Your project is live
Once approved, your project gets its own dedicated page on Story Inc.
Your next step is creating Market Questions — the predictions fans will make about your film. See How to create and launch a market question for details.
