How to get started
Whether you're here for fun, community, or rewards — getting started is easy.
Step 1: Sign up
All you need is an email address to create a free account. You'll automatically receive +$100 Story Cash (SC) — our free in-app currency — to start making predictions on the movies and TV shows you love.
Step 2: Predict
Browse Market Questions posted by filmmakers and the community — from casting decisions and Oscar nominations to box office performance and Rotten Tomatoes scores. After selecting a Market Question, choose the outcome you believe will happen (e.g. Yes, $10M box office, 82% Rotten Tomatoes score).
Then select how much Story Cash to stake. Each contract costs +$1 SC — so +$10 SC = 10 contracts. You can buy as many contracts as you like. Before you confirm, you'll see a clear breakdown of what you can win or lose. See example below:

Step 3: Monitor and adjust
Every market has a closing date. When the market closes, the event resolves and payouts are calculated automatically. You can see the closing date on every Market Question before you predict.
Track your open positions in your Portfolio. If market sentiment shifts before closing, you can buy more contracts to strengthen your position, or sell early to lock in a profit before the market resolves. A small 0.1% trading fee applies when buying or selling.
Step 4: Earn Story Cash
Once a market resolves, contracts settle automatically and your earnings are added to your Portfolio.
Correct prediction: Earn $1 SC per contract
Incorrect prediction: Contract expires at $0 SC
You also earn Story Cash through engagement — things like referring friends, submitting market questions, completing your profile, and climbing the weekly leaderboard. Here's the full breakdown:

Step 5: Redeem rewards
Head to the Story Inc. Rewards Store and redeem your Story Cash directly for rewards — no drawings, no waiting. Rewards range from movie tickets, streaming subscriptions, and Uber Eats watch parties to money-can't-buy experiences like set visits, red-carpet premieres, and your name in the credits.
