Kayce Dutton gave up the Yellowstone to keep his family safe. He lost his wife Monica, kept one piece of land for his son Tate and pinned on a U.S. Marshal's badge. Then Tom Weaver came for that land. He was behind the attack on Kayce's home. He sent gunmen after Kayce's teammates. And he flew Tate to Texas while Kayce was out riding with Weaver's daughter, knowing none of it. Season 2 picks up in that moment. Kayce goes rogue to get his boy back. Cal faces a cancer diagnosis he has barely spoken aloud. And Jimmy Hurdstrom, the ranch hand Yellowstone sent to Texas, rides back into the story.
