Vision was taken apart, rebuilt, and handed to people who wanted a weapon. He got away. Now he's in hiding, carrying memories of a marriage and a home that may not be his to keep, with only the AI voices written into his own programming for counsel — including Ultron, who has never stopped arguing that Vision should quit pretending to be a person. Then a bounty lands on him, and a boy named Thomas Shepard appears who may be his son. Running together forces the question Vision has spent years avoiding: whether a life assembled out of borrowed pieces can still be his own, and still be worth defending.
