TYSON traces Mike Tyson's journey from a chaotic childhood in Brooklyn to becoming the youngest heavyweight champion in history at age 20, through his reign as undisputed champion from 1987 to 1990. The series doesn't stop at the glory — it moves into his 1992 rape conviction and prison sentence, battles with addiction and financial ruin, and the 1997 bout with Evander Holyfield that produced one of the most replayed moments in sports television history. Featuring interviews with Tyson himself, his wife Lakiha "Kiki" Spicer, his son Miguel, and confidants who witnessed different chapters of his life, the series draws on previously unseen archival footage and new conversations. Director Floyd Russ — known for Untold: Malice at the Palace and American Manhunt — gives each episode room to sit with the contradictions rather than smooth them over.
