They were some of the finest college football players in America. One was a Brown quarterback coached by his own father. One was a record-setting star at Purdue. Two were teammates at Wisconsin. After Pearl Harbor, they set their fame aside and enlisted in the Marines. Training and the Pacific pull them out of their youth and into the realities of war. Far from home, they find a brotherhood forged on the field and under fire, and a football game unlike any they had ever played. It's a true story about serving something bigger than yourself.
