Sonny has always counted himself lucky. He’s the most beloved kid at his high school, and his single mom, Ellen, is his best friend and the only person who truly knows him. She also happens to be his principal. Then a car accident lands Sonny in the hospital, and the woman waiting at his bedside isn’t her. She looks almost like his mother. She acts like she is. Everyone else thinks the crash has rattled him, but Sonny is certain the woman he loves most is gone. So he hires a private investigator who believes in “alternative knowledge” and sets out to find the truth and bring his mom home.
