Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone follows an orphaned boy who discovers on his eleventh birthday that he is a wizard, whisked away from his miserable life with the Dursleys to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Across eight episodes, Harry navigates a world of spells, moving staircases, and new friendships with Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger — while uncovering the dark truth about the night his parents died. The series adapts Rowling's foundational novel with the depth that a prestige TV format allows, exploring themes of identity, belonging, courage, and the battle between good and evil. Under Gardiner's stewardship, the show promises to honor the source material while giving beloved characters and subplots the time and space.
