Everyone knows what happens to Ebenezer Scrooge. What's different here is who's telling it. Ti West, best known for horror, directs — and leans into the fact that Dickens wrote this as a ghost story in the first place. Johnny Depp plays Scrooge. Ian McKellen is Jacob Marley, the dead business partner who comes back on Christmas Eve to warn him. Andrea Riseborough is the Ghost of Christmas Past, Tramell Tillman the Ghost of Christmas Present. Together they walk one cold old man through everything he chose, and give him until morning to choose differently. In theaters November 13.
