Calvin Penney has spent his life feeling cursed. He's a fisherman in Snooks Arm, Newfoundland, a single father of three trying to hold his fractured family together while his way of life slips away. Then something from the deep begins attacking the town. When his son Wade starts showing frightening symptoms, Calvin teams up with Fonda, a visiting marine researcher, to find out what's out there. The answers are tangled up in the island's buried secrets. It's a story about family, a close-knit community, and the strength to fight for home.
