Following the events of Greenland (2020), Greenland: Migration picks up with John Garrity, played by Gerard Butler, and his family navigating life after Earth’s near-extinction event. With the planet fundamentally altered by the comet impact, the sequel shifts the story beyond survival in isolation toward movement and uncertainty, as the characters are forced to leave their bunker and confront the realities of a changed world. The film expands the scope of the franchise by exploring what survival looks like after the immediate catastrophe has passed, focusing on displacement, difficult choices, and encounters with other survivors.
